1) Immediately charged interest on an account for which I was to receive 6 months interest free.

The loan I received is better to me than a pay day loan. At this time I am unable to get approved for a traditional bank loan. This loan was what I needed to get the plumbing fixed in my home.

Thanks

4) Sent me email confirmations without the payment amounts

And these idiots wanted me to refinance my mortgage with them? HELL NO!!!

2) $2 service charge to make an online payment.

3) No way to cancel payment online after submitted

6) Bank doesn't offer service after normal business hours.

5) My account when POOF! after submitting payoff amount. Like just disappeared. No going back and checking history. No canceling. No nothing.

No I do not work for Mariner. I have not experience any issues with this business. The company offer loans such as personal and mortgage. The negative reviews are seem to be from people who did not read their contract before signing and receiving a check. Now that the money is due or they having a hardship paying the money back plus the interest agreed upon they have an issue. The interest rate is high but it stated on the contract. They do offer a life insurance in the loan package. Also, they have an unemployment insurance. I was told it was optional I did select but I read my contract completely before finalizing the loan and accepting the funds.

Not quite predatory loan arrangements, but certainly work on the fringes to get every possible dollar they can. My main caution is to challenge every charge and item that they try to include, insurance, protection coverage, etc. Unless you question and challenge, they do not explain that these are optional items, and in my case they changed my monthly payment from $189 to $314, with no reduction in principle...

Worst finance company I've ever dealt with there should be a law against this operation. I was paying my account through their website portal. Approximately half the total bill was paid suddenly without warning they changed the entry process making it impossible to make a payment through the payment portal. Then fate sent another challenge to my income. I made several attempts to make payment arrangements. Until I'm able to resume payments. They refused. I made arrangements with a credit card debt relief system mariner would only accepted full monthly payment. As my other creditors did agree lower monthly payments 2 years. This is anyones nightmare a horrible company they want to keep you in debt while paying 22 percent of my loan and currently suing me for full payment. Mariner accepted 3 monthly payments through my debt the relief plus sued me for full payment. Some how politics in the justice system has rewarded them full payment. I'm praying for justice it's unfair I made arrangements to pay them each month they've accepted 4 payments and have currently sued me anyway. Warning ⚠️ this is not a fair company to deal with.

Will never deal with this bank again. Piss poor online services. Hours suck. NEVER! NEVER! NEVER!

I wish i would have seen these reviews before excepting and offer from them.
